The Winner’s Experience in Amsterdam The Netherlands – 2022
When you visit our website, you’ll see a pop up giving you the opportunity to sign up to win a trip to Amsterdam: visiting the world famous flower park Keukenhof and getting a private tour to RevoGarden’s own flower fields.
Have you always wondered who the people are who win this sweepstake, and what the experience is like?
Sue and Julio from Bozeman (MT) can tell you all about it, because they were the lucky winners of this year’s trip. They stayed at the stylish College Hotel in Amsterdam for 7 days, visiting the Keukenhof and the flower fields during the day, and enjoying everything the city has to offer in the evenings. After their return to the States, we received this very nice note:
“I won the trip to Amsterdam in January of 2020 and due to COVID-19, the trip was postponed until April 2022 and it was completely worth the wait.
Ben was the most incredible host we could have asked for. He knew me and my companion were in the flower industry and we appreciated his eagerness to share so much of the Dutch flower world with us during our visit the last week of April. We visited Keukenhof Gardens, which was at its peak for fall planted bulbs and a highlight of the trip. There was an explosion of color and every variety of tulip and narcissus and other bulbs you could possibly think of. We spent over 2h walking around and it was fascinating to see the gardens. We also visited Ben’s RevoGarden show garden which was quite the experience and totally worth seeing. The Flower Parade was taking place that weekend and it was great to see the floats being constructed completely out of botanical materials and florals, sort of like the Rose Parade. Since I am a floral designer and buy many of my flowers from Holland, I expressed interest in visiting the flower auction and Ben was so gracious to facilitate a visit to the largest flower auction in the world and that was a mind blowing experience. After three days of seeing all things flowers, Ben gave us plenty of suggestions as to where to go, what to do, where to eat and must sees. Our hotel was very nice and comfortable and was centrally located, within a 20min walk to virtually every place we wanted to go.
Amsterdam was an experience we will never forget and that is all thanks to Ben. We are truly thankful for this trip and cannot think of one way we would have made it differently. Thank you Ben for being such an amazing, knowledgeable, kind and caring person and tour guide. This trip was one we will never forget.
We highly recommend: A bike tour, A canal boat tour, The Van Gogh museum, The Rijks Museum, The Moco Museum, Mr. Porter Restaurant. We also highly recommend planning on your trip in advance as all tickets sell out for attractions very quickly, so book them in advance”.
